Click the [WINS] tab, and then in the [WINS] sheet select [Enable NetBIOS
over TCP/IP].

Click the [OK] button until all the dialog boxes are closed.

If necessary restart the computer.

Confirm the computer name.

If you are using Windows 2000

Right-click the [My Computer] icon, and then click [Manage].
The [Computer Management] window opens.

Right-click the [Computer Management (Local)] icon, and then click
[Properties].
The [Computer Management (Local) Properties] dialog box opens.

Click the [Network Identification] tab to display the [Network Identification]
sheet, and then confirm the [Computer name] setting.

Click the [Cancel] button to close the dialog box, and then close the [Computer
Management] window.

If you are using Windows XP

On the [Start] menu, right-click [My Computer], and then click [Properties].

Click the [Computer Name] tab to display the [Computer Name] sheet.

Click the [Change] button, and then click the [More] button in the [Computer
Name Changes] dialog box.

In the [DNS Suffix and NetBIOS Computer Name] dialog box, confirm
[NetBIOS computer name].
