The camera is compatible with SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards.
The captured images are recorded onto the card (sold separately).
Make sure the card’s write-protect switch is set upward to
enable writing/erasing.

Open the cover.
Slide the cover as shown by the
arrows to open it.

Insert the card.
As shown by the illustration, face
the top of the card toward you.
Insert the card straight in all the way.

Close the cover.
Close the cover and slide it in the
direction shown by the arrows until it
snaps shut.
When you set the power switch to

>, the access lamp will blink and
the number of possible shots will be
displayed on the LCD panel.

card, image-recording quality, ISO speed, etc.

will prevent you from forgetting to install a card (p.278).
