Idler Axle Installation
STEP 16
Lubricate a new O-ring with clean petroleum jelly and
install the O-ring (1) in the collar ring.

STEP 17
Press both collar rings (1) on the axle until each ring
(1) is contacting the shoulder (2) on the axle.

STEP 18
Use the two U-bolts (1), four washer (2) and four nuts
(3) to install the idler axle on the undercarriage.
Tighten the nuts (3) slowly and evenly to 515 N•m
(380 ft-lb).

STEP 19
If the tension arm was removed, follow Steps 10
through 15 of the Tension Cylinder Removal And
Installation section of this manual to install the
tension cylinder.
Follow Steps 18 through 32 of the Front and Rear
I d l e r W h e e l S e a l a n d B e a r i n g R e m o va l a n d
Installation section of this manual to install the hubs,
idler wheels and track.
If the hubs were not removed follow Steps 14, 15 and
16 of the Track Removal And Installation Section of
this manual to install the idler wheels and tension the
track.
