Chapter 14: Configuring OSPF on the SSR
g. Set the advanced options on the interface as discussed in the following table:
13. Click Next. In the panel that appears, specify whether you want to add a non-
broadcast interface by selecting the appropriate option.
Table 30. Broadcast Interface Options
Option
Description
LSA Retransmission Interval
Enter the number of seconds between link-state
advertisement retransmissions for adjacencies
belonging to the interface. Specify an integer value
equal to or greater than 1. The default is 5 seconds.
Transit Delay
Enter the estimated number of seconds required to
transmit a link-state update over the interface.
Transit delay takes into account transmission and
propagation delays and must be greater than 0.
Specify an integer value equal to or greater than 1. The
default is 1 second.
Hello Interval
Enter an integer value from 0 to 255 to specify the
estimated number of seconds between Hello packets
that the router sends on the interface.
The default is 10 seconds for broadcast networks and
30 seconds for both point-to-point and non-broadcast
interfaces.
Router Dead Interval
Enter an integer value from 0 to 255 to specify the
number of seconds that may occur without Hello
packets being heard before the router’s neighbors will
declare it down.
By default, this option is four times the value of the
hello interval.
