CSX-COMP/ENCR Installation

This section contains instructions on how to install the COMP/ENCR into the HSIM-W6. To help 
eliminate any potential problems during or after installation, read and understand the following 
steps:

1.

Attach one end of the antistatic wrist strap to your wrist and the other end to an approved 
electrical ground.

2.

Unpack the CSX-COMP/ENCR by carefully removing it from the shipping box and then from 
the protective plastic bag. Do not cut the bag as the device could be damaged. If there are any 
signs of damage, contact the Cabletron Systems Global Call Center (refer to 

Chapter 1
