SUB-MENU FUNCTIONS
A sub-menu is used for making changes to stored programs stored on disk, Tester setup
parameters, and to format diskettes. There are six functions in the sub-menu. To select one of
the modes listed below press the up or down arrow until SUB-MENU is displayed and press
Menu Run.

Default Options
Save to Drive 0
Save to Drive 0 is used to copy the program from memory to a floppy disk when no
CRT/Keyboard is connected. PROGRAM1 through PROGRAM9 are nine pre-assigned file
names used for front panel save function. The CRT/Keyboard Terminal is necessary to assign
other file names. A complete Save procedure is provided below.
1.
Rotate the keyswitch to the vertical position.
2.
Press Up or Down arrow to step through the menu until
SAVE TO DRIVE 0
is
displayed.
3.
Press MENU RUN to initiate Save, and the display will show a file name
PROGRAM1
.
Each time the arrow key is pressed, a file name will be displayed. File names
PROGRAM1 through PROGRAM9 will appear in sequential order. If the file name is
free, the file name will be preceded with SAVE (SAVE PROGRAM1). If the file name
is in use, REPLACE will precede the file name (REPLACE PROGRAM1).

To save to an existing file name, press the arrow key until the desired file name appears.
Each time the arrow key is pressed, a file name present on disk will be displayed.

Pressing MENU RUN will display
ARE YOU SURE?
Message. Pressing MENU RUN
a second time will initiate the save or replace function. The display will read
SAVING
filename
or
REPLACING filename
. After the file has been written to disk OK is
displayed.
Save to Drive 1
This function is used to save to an external disk drive if the Model 4000C has an external disk
drive connector and an external disk drive is connected. The operation of this function is
identical to the Save Program to Drive 0.
Record Tape
Record Tape is an EHT-4000B mode for use with a digital cassette tape. This mode is
retained in the Model 4000C for compatibility with the older system. Before a program can
be recorded the ENABLE keyswitch must be rotated vertically (enabled position). Insert a
tape cassette into the drive and close the door. Select and initiate sub-menu mode by pressing
the up or down arrow and press MENU RUN. To record from internal memory to tape press
an arrow key to display
