52.2 Adjusting the belt tension
1. Unscrew the screws 1 of the cover plates at both dropouts and remove
the cover plates 2 (fig. 58).
2. Loosen the screws 3 (fig. 59) on both sides by approx. 0.5 turns until
the slides are free to move.
Increasing the belt tension
• Turn the belt tensioning screws 5 on both sides clockwise (fig. 60) so
that the slide moves against the direction of travel. Make sure that the
rear wheel is centred between the rear struts.
Reducing the belt tension
• Turn the belt tensioning screws 5 on both sides counterclockwise
(fig. 60) and push the slide forward in the direction of travel. Make sure
that the belt tensioning screws touch the stop on the frame and that the
rear wheel is centred between the rear struts.
3. Check the belt tension
⇨ chap. 52.1 “Checking the belt tension” on page 167
4. Tighten the screws 3 (fig. 59) on both sides (12-14 Nm) while pushing
the respective slide forward.
5. Attach the cover plates 2 and tighten the screws 1 on both dropouts
by hand (fig. 58).
