This chapter contains the following information:
Putting the machine into operation,
Checking if the machine can be mounted/hitched up to the tractor.
Before putting the machine into operation, the operator is required to have read and
understood the operating manual.
The operator needs to check if tractor and machine are roadworthy and safe to
operate every time before putting them into operation.
When putting the machine into operation, observe the additional information provided
in the following chapters:
o
"Responsibilities of the operator",
o
"Qualification of the personnel",
o
"General safety instructions",
o
"Warnings and instructions".
Observe these chapters for your own safety.
Only hitch up and transport the machine to/with a tractor that is suitable for this
purpose.
Tractor and machine need to be in compliance with the traffic regulations applicable in
the respective country.
Compliance with national traffic regulations is the responsibility of the vehicle owner
(the owner) and the driver (the operator).
Also observe the information given in chapter "Cleaning, maintenance and repairs".
WARNING
Risks of personal injury from crushing, shearing, cutting, entanglement and
catching may arise if actuators used to operate hydraulic or electrical components
are jammed.
Do not block any actuators on the tractor which are used to perform direct hydraulic or
electrical movements of components, e.g. tipping, swinging and sliding.
The respective movement must stop automatically once the corresponding actuator is
released.
This does not apply to the movements of devices:
operating continuously as part of constant consumers,
that are controlled automatically,
that require a float position or pressurized position for operation.
WARNING
Dangerous situations to individuals may arise if the driver cannot view the danger
areas of the machine in their entirety from the tractor!
Equip the tractor with mirrors to allow the driver to have a clear view of the danger areas on
both sides of the machine from the tractor.
