11.3
Checking/tensioning the roller chain of the chain drive on the dosing and mixing
augers
Retension the roller chain if it can be pushed in by more than 15 mm.
1.
Swivel the machine to the filling position.
2.
Secure the tractor and the machine from starting up
and rolling away inadvertently; see also chapter
"Securing the tractor and the machine against
inadvertent start-up and rolling away".
3.
Open the protective case (1).
4.
Check the tension of the roller chain (2).
5.
Retension the roller chain.
5.1 Loosen the tensioning screw of the gear (3)
inside the receiving hopper.
5.2 Push the gear (3) in the indicated direction (4).
5.3 While the gear (3) is being pushed in the
indicated direction (4), a second person needs
to retighten the tensioning screw of the gear.
4.
Grease the roller chain.
5.
Close the protective case (1) and screw it back into
place.
