Transport trips
A transport trip is a journey to and from the location where the machine is used while loaded or
unloaded.
Observe the information given regarding transport trips in chapter "General safety
instructions".
Prior to every transport trip, check:
o
if the lighting system of the tractor is covered by the mounted machine. If covered,
the lighting system must be supplemented by lighting beam fitted on the machine.
o
if the supply lines have been properly connected,
if the lighting system is free of damage and clean and operates properly,
o
if the hydraulic system shows any obvious defects.
WARNING
Risks of personal injury from crushing, cutting, entrapment, entanglement and
impact may arise if the mounted machine detaches from the tractor by accident!
Perform a visual inspection prior to every transport trip with the mounted machine to check:
if upper link pin and lower link shaft are properly secured on the three-point mounting
frame,
if the quick-change device of the four-point mounting frame has been locked in place
properly as specified in the operating manual of your front, farmyard or wheel loader.
WARNING
Risks of personal injury from crushing, entanglement, catching or impact may arise if
tractor and machine tip over as a result of insufficient stability!
Adapt your driving style in such a way that you remain in full control of tractor and fitted
machine at all times.
The factors to be considered in this regard are your personal driving abilities and the
conditions of the road, curves, and traffic as well as visual and weather conditions, the
driving characteristics of the tractor and the impact by the fitted machine.
Never negotiate narrow curves at excess driving speeds.
Avoid abrupt steering maneuvers when driving on slopes along the slope and the layer
line (tip-over hazard!).
WARNING
Dangerous driving situations from inadvertent actuation of hydraulic functions
during transport trips!
Secure the machine from being lowered inadvertently prior to every transport trip.
Prior to every transport trip, switch:
switch the control panel off,
switch the oil circuit between tractor and machine off.
WARNING
Dangerous situations may arise from improper use of the tractor if the fitted machine
causes the tractor to become unstable or to no longer steer and brake properly!
The maximum payload of the fitted machine and the permissible axle and drawbar loads of
the tractor must be observed. If necessary, drive with the receiving hopper only partially
filled.
