2.4.3
Installing/removing the machine
Mount the machine properly on the designated fixtures.
When mounting the machine at the front and/or the rear of a tractor, do not exceed any of the
following values:
o
the permissible gross weight of the tractor,
o
the permissible axle loads of the tractor,
o
the permissible drawbar load on the coupling point of the tractor,
o
the permissible load capacity of the tractor tires.
No one is allowed between the tractor and the machine while the tractor is moved up to the
machine!
Any assistants present may only help the driver steer the tractor while standing next to the vehicles.
No one is allowed between tractor and machine while the three-point hydraulic system is being
actuated.
Before coupling/uncoupling the upper link and the supply lines, switch the tractor off before securing
it against unexpected start-up and rolling away.
Check all coupled supply lines.
Coupled supply lines:
o
must easily yield without tension, kinking or friction when the vehicles negotiate curves,
o
must not rub against/be in contact with foreign objects.
Set down and uncouple the machine only when in the filling position.
Always set down the uncoupled machine on a level and horizontal surface and ensure it is stable.
2.4.4
Use of the machine
Before starting to work, familiarize yourself with all devices and controls of the machine and the way
they operate.
It will be too late to do so when work is underway.
Do not put the machine into operation unless all safeguards function properly and have been moved
to their protective position.
All personnel are required to stay out of:
o
the work/danger area of the machine,
o
the turning and slewing range of the moving parts on the machine,
o
the area below raised and unsecured moving parts of the machine.
There are areas with a risk of being bruised or cut by the moving parts of the machine which are
actuated by non-muscular energy (e.g. hydraulic).
Do not operate any parts of the machine that are actuated by non-muscular energy unless no one is
in the work/danger area.
Before exiting the tractor, secure it against inadvertent start-up and rolling away.
Safely support raised parts of the machine before anyone accesses the area underneath the raised
parts.
