Loader Blower Maintenance
Annually
• Lightly grease the rotor gear
• Auger bearings: grease sparingly every
50 hours. Too much grease will push
the seals off the bearing.
• Lightly oil any pivot or sliding points.
• Grease: use multi purpose grease.
Auger chain
tensioner
Daily
• Auger Chain – apply light oil after using
the snowblower.
• Discharge chute mount – apply light oil
on the plastic ring (this will extend the
life of the plastic ring and will operate
smoother).
• Check auger drive chain tension,
adjust chain allowing ¼” sag in the
bottom span of chain (between drive
and driven sprocket
)
Drive tension is
adjusted with the auger chain tensioner
located on the top left of the rear of the
blower.

Gearbox Maintenance -
First oil change is rec
-
ommended at 60 to 80 hours. Regular oil chang-
es there after at 1500 hours minimum.
• Carefully remove the drain plug at the bottom of
the gear box, and set aside.
•
Drain the old fluid into a container.
•
Dispose of the fluid in a environmentally respon
-
sible fashion
•
Carefully remove the oil fill plug at the top of the
gear box, and set aside.
• Add the SAE 90 gear oil: up to 11 oz. (325 cc) or
until the level reaches the top of the site glass
• Clean up any spills
• Check oil level every 50 hours.
• Ensure the air vent is clean and clear.
