Monitoring the oil level in the oil housing on
the motor side (LSA-/0201 and LSA+/0202)
Prior to starting the vacuum pump, both level switches LSA-/0201 and
LSA+/0202
must
be controlled. The level switches must be connected
in accordance with the instructions given in the installation and
maintenance manual. In the event of an alarm signal for either low or
high level being detected: this alarm signal must be configured in a
manner that prevents the vacuum pump from being started.
The maximum pump operating time between 2 level controls:
24 Hours.
The level switch outputs LSA-/0201 and LSA+/0202 are to be ignored
during the cyclic operation of the vacuum pump.

Monitoring the cooling liquid flow
(FSA-/0501)
The cooling liquid flow
must
be monitored by a contact flow meter
(FSA-/0501).
The contact flow meter must be connected in such a way that the
vacuum pump stops when the flow drops below
12 l/min
. It is possible
to run the vacuum pump with a cooling liquid flow of less than
12 l/min
but only on the condition that the outlet gas temperature
(TSA+/0102) will not exceed the value prescribed in this "Installation
and operating instructions".
The flow meter is not delivered with the vacuum pump, however, we
recommend the following model :

Monitoring the vibrations of the pump
(SA+/0701)
The vibration level of the pump is monitored by a vibration sensor and
the diagnostic electronic IFM VSE 100.
The diagnostic electronic is programmed by Ateliers Busch S.A. and
must
be connected in such a way that the pump stops when OUT 2 =
0 VDC indicating a high vibration level, please refer to the terminal
plan in the annexe.
If the vibration sensor is taken off the vacuum pump during
maintenance, the torque for the M6 fixing screw must be between 2.7
and 6.8 Nm when refitting the device.
The ATEX certified AC 1000 F VR pump cannot be delivered without
this sensor and cannot be replaced by another sensor type.
A intrinsic safety barrier of type voltage e.g. STAHL
9001/01-280-085-101 model must be installed between the vibration
sensor and the diagnostic electronic. Please refer to the terminal plan.
The intrinsic safety barrier is not the scope of supply of Busch.

Due to its technology, the vibration sensor also detects changes in the
oil viscosity in the oil housing on the motor side.
