Configuration
Introduction
This chapter explains how to configure Bullhorn units for service using the Universal
Configuration Toolkit (UCT) software. The information applies to the following unit types:

SDT16-GSM

SDT16-ORB

SDT16-SAT
An overview of the UCT software is provided in UCT Software Overview on page 56. Configuration
procedures begin with Configuring Units for Service on page 67.
Before You Start
Before you begin configuring Bullhorn units for service, use the procedure in this section to
temporarily disable any synchronization software that may be installed on your computer; verify
Bullhorn units are securely connected to your computer; and verify you are using the latest version
of the UCT software.

MPORTANT
:
If you are working with a Bullhorn unit that includes a USB configuration port on the
controller board, make sure to install the USB device driver provided on the CD in the installation
kit. The USB device driver must be installed prior to connecting the Bullhorn unit to your
computer. To install the device driver, see
Installing the USB Device Driver on page 16.
Complete the following steps:
1.
If you are working with a unit that includes a USB configuration port on the controller
board, install the driver using the instructions in
Installing the USB Device Driver on page 16.
2.
Verify the Bullhorn configuration cable is securely connected to your computer and the
Bullhorn unit. The configuration cable is provided in the installation kit.
