If you want to include an optional delay in the transmission schedule, click the
Add Delay
option box to enable the option.
The
Add Delay
option is based on the unit serial number. The unit serial number is the
number of seconds added to the reporting time specified for
Transmit report at
. For
example, if you set the reporting time to 12:00:00 and the unit serial number is 1200, the
actual reporting time is 12:20:00. This feature allows you to configure several units with the
same reporting time and also prevents units from transmitting at exactly the same time.

Configure an Alarm Delay
Use the procedure in this section to configure the unit with an alarm delay. The alarm delay
specifies how much time should pass between recognized alarms. An alarm is sent immediately
upon the initial receipt of a contact closure on the alarm input. After the first closure, the amount
of time specified by the alarm delay must pass before another closure causes the unit to send
another alarm.

Complete the following steps:

Click
Change
group box (Figure 3-20) on the main configuration
window to display the
Alarm Delay
configuration window. You can also display the
Alarm
Delay
window by clicking
Tools
>
Settings
>
Modbus
>
Alarm Delay
.

Type a number in the field that indicates how many seconds should pass between
recognized alarms. Valid entries are any number from 0 to 86,400. Entering zero disables
this feature.
