Complete one of the following steps:
a.
If you are working with the SDT16-GSM, plug the configuration cable in the 4-pin
Config
connector on the controller board.
–OR–
b.
If you are working with the SDT16-ORB or SDT16-SAT, plug the USB configuration
cable in the
Config
port on the controller board.
If Windows displays the
Found New Hardware
message and icon in the System Tray of
your computer, disconnect the unit from your computer. Install the USB device driver
using the procedure in
Installing the USB Device Driver on page 16. When you finish,
reconnect the unit and then continue with the following steps.

Depending on the type of configuration cable included in the installation kit, plug the other
end of the configuration cable in an available COM port or USB port on your computer.
11.
Tighten the water-tight fitting(s) on the bottom of the unit.
12.
Turn the input device
ON
to restore power to field wiring.
13.
Continue with Chapter 3 to configure the unit for service using the Universal
Configuration Toolkit software.
