Running with the Feeder Assembly 

 

Setting up and using the 
Feed Ramp Extension 

Overly long media is accommodated using the Feed Ramp 
Extension, also it will perform the same functions as the 
Media Support Wedge does with much shorter media. 

Loosen the Locking Feeder Knob. 

1.

 

Place a piece of the media on the Feed Ramp 
Assembly. 

2.

 

Turn to loosen the Feeder Locking Knob. 

3.

 

Pull the Feed Ramp Extension out from the Feed 
Ramp Assembly. 

4.

 

Angle the Feed Ramp Extension up to create a 
small gap between the media and the Feed Ramp 
Assembly.  

Pull the Feed Ramp Extension out. 

5.

 

Turn the Feeder Locking Knob to secure the 
Feed Ramp Extension. 

Note

: The gap and angle 

of the Feed Ramp Extension will vary with the 
type of media used. Adjust the angle of the Feed 
Ramp Extension or Feed Ramp itself if the 
Feeder Assembly is having difficulty consistently 
supplying the printer with media.  

Angle the Feed Ramp Extension up.
