Tips

Adjusting the
Entry Roller
Assembly

The Entry Rollers keep the media pressed onto the Transport
Belts until it again gets trapped beneath the wipers of the Print
Head Assemblies.

Remove the Top Cover from the printer to gain access
to the inside.

Push the media in the printer.

Insert a piece of the media into the printer. Push it
beneath the Entry Rollers in the same location as the
feeder will send it.

Pull the Spring Plunger out to unlock the Index Wheel.

Raise the Index Wheel up to the top hole to lessen the
tension on the Entry Roller Assemblies and release the
plunger to secure the wheel in place.

Move the Entry Rollers onto
the media.

Turn the Thumb Screw to release the Entry Roller
Assembly to reposition it on the shaft.

Lift and slide the Entry Roller Assemblies onto the
piece of media. Move any Entry Rollers near the sides
of the media further in on the media or push them out
of the way.

Note

: Rollers running on the edges of the

media may catch the edge and twist the media. Also,
locate the rollers on top of a Transport Belt.

Pull Spring Plunger out to
unlock.

Turn the Thumb Screw to secure Entry Roller
Assembly in place.

Note

: Check that the Thumb Screw

goes back into the slot in the shaft.

Pull the Spring Plunger out and lower the Index Wheel
to put the tension back on the Entry Rollers.

Note

Adjust the spring tension on the Entry Rollers by
moving the Index Wheel up or down to accommodate
different types of media.
