10) Drive Belt Guard

Drive Belt Guard Removal

WARNING

NEVER operate engine:

– Without shields and belt guard securely installed.

– With hood and/or side panels opened or removed.

NEVER attempt to make adjustments to moving parts while
engine is running.

NOTE:

Belt guard is purposely made slightly oversize to maintain

tension on its pins and retainers preventing undue noise and vibra-
tion. It is important that this tension be maintained when reinstalling.

Remove tether cord cap from engine cut-off switch.

Open the LH side panel. See procedure in this section.

Remove retaining pin.
