MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
NOTICE
To prevent rust formation or freezing condition in
cold areas, always replenish the system with 50% antifreeze
and 50% distilled water. Pure antifreeze will freeze at a higher
temperature than the optimal water/antifreeze mix. Always
use ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion inhibitors
specifically recommended for aluminum engines.
Exhaust System
Exhaust System Verification
The muffler tail pipe should be centered with the exit hole in the bot-
tom pan. Exhaust system must be free of rust or leaks. Make sure
that all parts are securely in place.
Check retaining springs condition and replace if necessary.
The exhaust system is designed to reduce noise and to improve the
total performance of the engine. Modification may be in violation of
local laws.
NOTICE
If any exhaust system component is removed, modi-
fied or damaged, severe engine damage may result.
