[ 11 ] Reassembling the Top Cover ASSY

(1) Insert the shaft (cut surface side) of the platen ASSY into the arm of the right

hand side of the top cover, the platen shaft bearing (B) and the platen gear. (in
this order)

(2) Put the other end of the platen ASSY into the notch of the hole at the left hand

side of the top cover.

(3) Put the retaining ring onto the right end of the shaft of the platen ASSY.

(4) Put the platen shaft bearing (A) into the shaft on the left hand side and secure it

with the retaining ring.
