One Touch Keys
These 4 keys give you instant access to
previously stored phone numbers.

Shift
Use to access memory locations 5 through 8 in
the One Touch keys. Press this key with
R
key
whenever you want to gain access to the out
side line/or to transfer a call to another
extension when it is connected to a PABX.

Receive and Dialing Keys:
Receive Mode
Use to select how the MFC will handle
incoming calls.
Redial/Pause
Redials the last number called. Also inserts a
pause in autodial numbers.
Search/Speed Dial
Lets you dial stored phone numbers by
pressing a
#
key and a two digit number.
Also lets you look up numbers stored in
the dialing memory.

Dial Pad
Dials phone and fax numbers, and can be used
as a keyboard for entering information into the
MFC.

key lets you switch the dialling type during
a telephone call from “PULSE” to “TONE”.

Stop
Stops a fax, cancels an operation, or exits from
function mode.

Start
Starts an operation, such as sending a fax.

Resolution indicator lights
These LEDs show the resolution mode you
selected.

Fax Resolution
R (Recall)
Sets the resolution when you send a fax. You
can also use this key with
Shift
key to gain
access to an outside line and/or to recall the
operator or transfer a call to another extension
when it is connected to a PABX.

Liquid Crystal
LCD displays messages to help you set and
operate your MFC.

Programming Keys:
Menu
Lets you access the function and programming
mode.
(Left Arrow)
Help
Moves the LCD cursor to the left. Press this
key with
Shift
key whenever you want a
quick reference Help List printed. The Help
List shows how to perform functions, how to
register information, and how to get basic
information.
(Right Arrow)
Verify
Moves the LCD cursor to the right. When the
machine is idle, you can also use this key to
print the Transmission Verification Report for
your last transmission.
Set
Stores a function setting in the MFC.
Also, use this key whenever you want to
broadcast faxes to many different locations,
maximum of 158 locations at once.

Colour Printer Keys:
Reset
Clears data from the printer memory, and then
resets and restores to the factory default
settings.
Ink Management
Cleans the ink print heads and/or resets the ink
dot counter after replacing an ink cartridge.

Scanner Function Keys:
Scan Image
Press this key to scan a colour picture into your
graphics application for viewing and editing.
Scan/OCR
Press this key to start scanning a text
document. ScanSoft
™
TextBridge
®
will
convert it to editable text and display it in your
word processor application for further editing.
Scan to E-mail
Press this key to start scanning an original into
your E-mail application, setting it up
automatically as an attachment.

Colour Copy Keys:
Enlarge/Reduce
Lets you reduce or enlarge copies depending
on the ratio you select.
Options
You can change the setting of Copy, Video
printing and PhotoCapture Centre
™
.
Colour Copy
Makes a full-colour copy.
Mono Copy
Makes a black-and-white or one-colour copy.
