Remote users cannot connect; their calls are
immediately rejected. Possible problems are:

Server is not operating properly (refer to checklist
in the previous section).

Line has been “busied out” by the service
provider. Check the status indicators on the CSU.

IRAS-24A card is not configured properly. Verify
LED status and settings.

D-channel not up (ISDN only). Use the Netaccess
Status Utility program to determine if the
D-channel is established.

Line not up. The T1 line does not have current.

Remote users connect, then are immediately
disconnected. Possible problems are:

User permissions are not set correctly. Verify
configuration.

User protocols are not set correctly. Verify
configuration.

The user does not have RAS permission or RAS
has not been started.

Under RAS Network Configurations (Figure 3-21
and Figure 4-20) you need to select “Allow any
authentication including clear text”.
To obtain more diagnostic information on Windows NT, use
Windows NT Diagnostics, or the Netaccess Status Utility
program (see “Diagnosing Problems with Windows NT 4.0” or
“Diagnosing Problems with Windows NT 3.51” in this chapter).
