REAR  AXLE  AND  FINAL  DRIVE

7.  Mark  the  crown  wheel  and  differential  carrier  to 

ensure correct replacement.

8.  Remove the crown wheel retaining bolts and spring 

washers  and remove the crown wheel.

9.  Drive  out the  differential pinion pin locking peg.

10.  Drive  out the differential pinion pin.
11.  Turn  the  differential  gear  wheels by  hand  until  the 

differential  pinions  are  opposite  the  openings  in 
the  differential  gear  case;  remove  the  differential 
pinions  and their  selective thrust washers.

12.  Remove the differential gear wheels and their thrust 

washers.

13.  Remove the  drive flange nut  split pin.
14.  Retain  the  drive flange,  using RG421  or  S337,  and 

remove  the drive flange nut.

15.  Remove the drive flange.
