Fold arm adjustment (length) controls the stow position of the
platform sections and the outboard roll stop (see Photo K). The
platform sections should fold together tightly and the outboard
roll stop should rotate to the vertical position when the platform
stows. Fold arms are factory set and should normally require no
adjustments.
Failure to align fold
arm locking slots
may result in serious
bodily injury and/or
property damage.

2. Turn the 1-1/8" (1.125") hex adjustment head to
adjust the length of the fold arm. Adjustments
must be 1/2 or 1 turn in order to reinsert the
cotter pin and ensure the fold arm locking slot is
aligned. Make adjustments in 180
°
(1/2 turn)
increments to both sides simultaneously.
Usually 1 to 1-1/2 turns is all that is needed to
rotate the roll stop from the horizontal to the
vertical position. If the original adjustment is
lost, measure the pin to pin dimension of the
fold arm assembly when the platform is at floor
level and make both sides the same.
Caution:
If locking slots are not aligned, the locking tab
on the rotating slide arm will not enter the fold
arm locking slot when the lift folds resulting in
lift damage.
Shorten the length of the fold arms to loosen
the fit of the platform sections (to separate
sections).
Extend the length of the fold arms to tighten the
platform sections (to bring sections closer
together).
Caution: Do not overtighten!
If too tight,
lift
damage may occur
.
3. Insert the cotter pin
through the bottom
hex adjustment
head.
4. Check the platform
angle and floor level
positioning. Adjust
as needed.

Fold arm adjustment may affect platform angle and floor level
position. Check platform angle (see pages 26 and 27) and floor
level positioning (see pages 28 and 29A). Correct as needed
Fold Arm Adjustment
1. Remove the cotter pin inserted through the bottom
hex adjustment head. The cotter pin secures the fold
arm when properly adjusted and
must be reinserted
following adjustment.
