The video handset can also be instal-
led in two 3-module embedding box
(fig. 4).
The unit comes with a chassis and
adapters for the use of a number of
commercially available front plate
models.
It features the following controls (fig. 1):
Brightness
Saturation colour
Entry panel activation
•
Centralized control (stairs light
and entry panel selection)
•
Auxiliary services
•
Door-lock release

Red LED indicating audio con-
nection is active
Hands-free operation
Press the audio button for less than
0.5 s to initiate communication with
the entry panel (the LED lights).
To cut off communication, press the
audio button again for less than 0.5 s
(the LED flashes).
Afterwards, communication can be
restarted within 10 s, after which the
system switches off (the LED goes off).
Talk-listen operation
Keep the audio button pressed to ini-
tiate communication with the entry
panel and start talking (the LED
lights). Release the button to listen.
To cut off communication, press the
audio button for less than 0.5 s (the
LED flashes).
Afterwards, communication can be
restarted within 10 s, after which the
system switches off (the LED goes off).
Calibrating the audio levels
- Activate the receivers and select
the talk-listen operating mode.
- Adjust the volumes on the entry
panel in the talk-listen mode.
- Go to the hands-free mode and
check the regularity of switching from
one channel to another.
- If there is difficulty in getting the
line in one of the two directions,
increase the volume slightly in the
direction where you have difficulty
and reduce it in the other direction.
In combined systems (receivers and
hands-free) we recommend you first
adjust the communication levels for
the hands-free system.
If necessary, adjust the volumes on
the entry panel to achieve a better
compromise.

The video handset is fitted with a dif-
ferentiated call input (terminal
)
(i.e.: for calls from landing and exter-
nal entry panel) a continuous tone
call (approximately 2 s).
Function of connector CN1
(NC/321)
Connector to be used to connect the
audio module to monitor module
NVM/301 using the relevant cable
(fig. 2).
Function of connector CN3
(NC/321)
Connector for remote control for acti-
vating audio and door lock release
command (fig. 2).
Function of jumper SW1 (NC/321)
(Call attenuated)
Normally supplied ready inserted.
Remove the jumper SW1 (fig. 2) in
the event the volume of the call note
is to be attenuated.
Maximum number of receivers acti-
vated by same call:
- 3 with normal call (jumper SW1
inserted);
- 1 with normal call and 7 with atte-
nuated call (jumper SW1 not inserted).
Function of jumper SW1 (NVM/301)
(Resistive load termination)
The unit features a jumper
SW1
(fig.
2) for the impedance terminating the
signal line.
Remove the jumper if the line contin-
ues towards other receivers.
Function of jumper SW2 (NVM/301)
(Selects power source)
The video handset has a jumper
SW2
(fig. 2) for selecting the type of power
supply (from BUS or a separate
power supply unit).
For power supply from X1 BUS
(max.
1 video handset active only)
, position
