Installing
the
last layer of gratings
The last layer of gratings usually has to be squared off lengthwise, and a new groove therefore
needs to be made that can be
positioned
on the last stringer (see above). When the last layer
of gratings is squared off as above, the last stringer must be lowered 8 mm in relation to the
other stringers and the last stringer must therefore be shortened at both ends and drilled as
below.
A= Int. distance between the 2 longitudinal stringers (see also sawing off of stringers).
B= Marked up during test assembly.
