Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

In this portion of the presentation we are going to

go a little deeper into the Graphing Multimeter

function of the MTS 5200.

Pictured right you can see that we have connected

the lab scope to a demonstration board. This

particular demonstration board will be used to

simulate a TPS signal.

Once you have the board connected to the lab scope and you are receiving a signal on the

screen, you need to reset the auto scaling on the tool.

Pictured below you can see that we have rotated the center knob of the demonstration board

and the signal on the screen has gone from high to low simulating the accelerator pedal going

from WOT to closed.
