Although the Secondary Quick Check is fully functional on Distributor Ignition (DI) systems, some

applications filter the ignition signal as it passes through the distributor. This distorts the signal

at the individual spark plug wires. For this reason, Bosch recommends using the Secondary

Ignition Mode on Distributor Ignition (DI) vehicles.
