You can see the elongation
of the chain through the
slot (A) in the protective
case. The lever (B) of
the chain tensioner
moves from the top
(new/shortened chain)
downwards (elongated chain)
as the chain length increases.
If the lever is no longer visible
in the slot, the chain must
be shortened. Replace the
chain if the permissible
elongation of the chain
(= 3% of the original length)
is exceeded.
You can see the length of
the chain at the level of
the tensioning lever (X)
of the chain tensioner.
The tensioning lever (X)
moves from the top
(new/shortened chain)
downwards (elongated chain)
as the chain length increases.
When the tensioning lever (X)
is in the lowest position, the
chain must be shortened.
Replace the chain
if the permissible
elongation of the chain
(= 3% of the original length)
is exceeded.
