OTHER AIRPORT
To search for any other airport not listed on the Chart Main Index, position the menu cursor around the OTHER AIRPORT
field.
1. Turn the MENU ADV knob on the MFD control to position the menu cursor around the OTHER AIRPORT field.
2. Push the PUSH SELECT button to activate the text entry cursor and to position the cursor around the first charac-
ter of the entry field.
3. Turn the DATA knob on the MFD control to change the character. Rotate clockwise to advance the character field.
Counterclockwise to decrease the character field.
4. Turn the MENU ADV knob to move the cursor to the next character field. Clockwise to move the cursor to the
next character on the right. Counterclockwise to move the cursor to the left.Repeat the steps 3 and 4 to enter the
four letter ICAO airport identifier.
5. Do either of the following steps to end the data entry mode:
a.
Push the PUSH SELECT button on the MFD control to finish entering the airport ID and to have the informa-
tion processed.
b.
Push the ESC button to cancel data entry mode and to restore the previous value.
DISPLAY SELECTED CHART
1. With the Chart Main Index in view, turn the MENU ADV knob to position the menu cursor around the desired
shortcut control.
2. Push the PUSH SELECT button momentarily.
SHORTCUT CONTROLS
Shortcut controls are displayed below the origin, destination, alternate, and other airport fields/airport IDs on the Chart
Main Index. The shortcut controls identify the selected chart and provide a quick means of selecting the indicated chart.
CHANGE SHORTCUT
The change shortcut action allows the pilot to change an existing shortcut or fill a blank shortcut. A submenu is displayed
when a change shortcut action is activated. The submenu contains a list of shortcut items that can be selected. Submenus
may also be accessed from this menu.
1. Turn the MENU ADV knob to position the menu cursor around the desired shortcut.
2. If the shortcut text field does not contain a shortcut, push and release the PUSH SELECT button. If the shortcut
text field contains a shortcut, push and hold the PUSH SELECT button for more than 1 second.
The change shortcut action is completed when a shortcut item is selected from one of the submenus. When the change short-
cut action is completed, the submenus are closed and the selected shortcut item shows in the shortcut text field.
CANCEL CHANGE SHORTCUT
The change shortcut action may be canceled. When the change shortcut action is canceled, the last selected shortcut item
shows in the shortcut text field, or the shortcut text field is blank if no shortcut item had been previously selected.
Select one of the following steps to cancel the Change Shortcut:
1. Push the ESC button to navigate back to the previous menu.
2. Push the MENU button to close all menus.
3. Make another control selection (removes the current chart format).
SET DAY OR NIGHT DIMMING
1. Turn the MENU ADV knob on the MFD control to position the menu cursor around the CHART DIMMING line
item.
2. Turn the DATA knob on the MFD control.
EXIT CHART MAIN INDEX
1. Push the UPR or LWR MENU or ESC button on the MFD control to exit the Chart Main Index and show the E-
Chart that was previously in view.
