Music collection
Vehicle equipment
This chapter describes all standard, national
and special equipment provided in the model
series. Equipment not available in the vehicle is
therefore also described, for example the se‐
lected special equipment or national version.
This also applies to safety-relevant functions
and systems. Comply with the relevant na‐
tional regulations when using the correspond‐
ing functions and systems.
Music memory
Principle
Tracks from CDs/DVDs and USB media can be
saved in the music collection on a hard disc in
the vehicle and played from there.
General
▷
Audio CD: tracks are converted into a com‐
pressed audio format. Information on the
album, for example artist, is saved, if appli‐
cable.
▷
CD/DVD or USB medium with compressed
audio files: the entire content of the
CD/DVD or USB medium is saved as an al‐
bum in the vehicle. All audio files with the
supported formats are stored. Track and
directories can also be deleted individually.
Deleting track and directory, see
page
65
.
Information
Tracks with copy protection, DRM, are saved,
but cannot be played.
Backing up music collection
Back up music collection regularly, oth‐
erwise it could be lost in the event of a fault in
the hard disc.◀
