User Manual
Step 2: Update DDQ1, DDQ2, DDQ3, DDQ4
:
Now you can use the field update utility (bootloader) to program the DDQs. This is a custom utility that resides in EQAM-420B.
Care should be taken at this time, if miss spelled characters or letters are typed by accident, or you have missed
to type the bin command in Step 1, this could cause the EQAM-420B Flash memory to be corrupted and the
unit needs to be sent back to Blonder Tongue for repair.
Ready: Please read the rest of this page once before typing the commands.
Update DDQ1:
bootloader -d1 -w DDQ_v#.hex
Update DDQ2:
bootloader -d2 -w DDQ_v#.hex
Update DDQ3:
bootloader -d3 -w DDQ_v#.hex
Update DDQ4:
bootloader -d4 -w DDQ_v#.hex
NOTE:
If you get errors during programming then
DO NOT TURN OFF THE EQAM-420B
,
just repeat the bootloader commands again.
The DDQ board should now configure itself on power-up.
Two choices to reset the EQAM-420B:
(1)
Reset switch in the back of the unit.
(2)
Use Telnet and type “epcs –c” this will automatically reboot the EQAM-420B without a need for resetting with power
switch.
