User Manual
#:
indicates the sequential number of the incoming IP addresses recognized by the unit.
Stream:
indicates the incoming IP address (see of Section 6.2.1 for details).
IP
:
indicates the status of the source IP stream as follows:
Green = input IP is streaming
Red = input IP is not streaming
Ping
: allows the user to ping the source IP address to verify connection. The column next to the Ping button will
display “Passed” or “Failed”. This feature is applicable to Unicast streams only and not available for Multicast streams.
TS Sync Error: is a Transport Stream Sync Error counter that increments by one if the 47 hex byte (also known as the
sync byte) is not present in the Transport Stream. The error count can be ignored if there are no problems with the
video service.
However, if there are problems with the video service, it can be used for diagnostic purposes as follows:
(i) Clear the counter using the “Clear Errors” button (see of Figure 6.5).
(ii)
Refresh the screen using the “Refesh” tab (see
7
of Figure 6.5), and note the Error count. Refresh again
and note the new Error count.
(iii)
A large increment in the Error count indicates that the unit may be experiencing a problem with receiving
the source stream.
