6.9 "Time" Screen
The “Time” screen (Figure 6.9) allows you to set the current date and time for the EQAM-420B. To remain compliant with
ATSC and cable standards, it is important to have the accurate date and time stamps. For this reason, it is recommended to
use the "Automatic" option which allows the unit to automatically acquire time settings from a "Time Server" - you must
enter the IP address of the time server (see 24 of Section 6.8.1 for details). The time server specified must support the
Network Time Protocol (NTP) in order for automatic time acquisition to work properly. The unit would refresh the date and
time settings from the Time server every 20 minutes. If, however, an internet connection is not available, the date and time
can be entered manually. The unit is capable of adjusting the Day Light Saving (DST) time settings automatically, provided
the “Automatically Adjust for Daylight Savings Time” in Figure 6.9 is selected “Yes”.
