APT-COM™ 3 settings for remote alarm
In APT-COM™ 3 monitoring by the monitoring software Watch Tool is activated with the button “Watch
enable“ in the configuration menu “Watch Tool“ (see APT-COM™ 3 operating manual).
All alarm settings need to be made in the monitoring software Watch Tool. They are extensively
described in the APT-COM™ 3 operating manual.

Operation
8.1
State of alert
When all connections are established and all settings entered, the Alarm Box AB 01 is switched on and
APT-COM™ is running with the appropriate settings for alarm operation as well as, in case of APT-
COM™ 3, the monitoring software Watch Tool (see chap. 7.3 or 7.4), the TWG 01 must be on alert.
On alert:
Display Signification
Red LED lit
Connection to power supply ok
Yellow LED off
Programming is complete
Green LED lit *
or
Connection to telephone line ok
Green LED not lit *
Connection to telephone line exists, but is inactive
(no local loop, this may be introduced only when
dialing)
* This depends on the type of telephone connection and on the local and national configuration of the
telephone network.

8.2
Stopping / resetting an alarm
During and following an alarm the red LED flashes. An alarm can be stopped hitting the reset key
.
After each released alarm the TWG 01 must be made ready for alarm again.
Hit the reset key
to reset the alarm and make the unit ready for alarm again.
If there is no more alarm, the TWG 01 is now on alert again.
If the red LED continues to flash after reset with key
the alarm cause is still existent and must be
removed first, or the alarm has not yet been reset at the APT-COM™ software.
8.3
Manual alarm / Test alarm
You have got the possibility to release an alarm directly at the TWG 01.
Press button
for 2 sec. The TWG 01 will now dial the phone numbers and transmit the alarm
message.
