5.4
Connection to the telephone line
Use the delivered cable to establish the connection with the telephone line via the
Line socket
on the top of the unit.
Insert the RJ connector (Western plug) into the Line socket of the unit until it snaps
in. The TAE-N-plug has to be put in to the N-coded socket of the TAE socket (N =
non-telephone) of a telephone responder, a fax-device, or a modem.
For use abroad, telephone pick-ups are available in commerce.
If the cable is to be directly connected to a wall box (without plug), cut off the TAE-N plug and cramp the
wires as follows:
Connection to the telephone (wall socket):
Plug to TWG 01 (wires 3 and 4 are not needed)
pin 1 (generally yellow)
pin 2 (generally green)
