Connection to the alarm system
7.1
Connection to the alarm box AB 01
The alarm box AB 01 from BINDER is equipped with a zero-voltage relay alarm contact via a DIN socket
at its rear which is switched via APT-COM™ whenever one (or more) of the supervised chambers run out
of the entered set point tolerance bandwidth.
Alarm input:
Following the programming (chap. 6), connect the two clamps “COM.” and “1” with the blue and brown
wire of the cable delivered with the Alarm Box AB 01 (chap. 7).

Pin 1: Pole
Pin 2: Open
Pin 3: Close
If there is no alarm event, pin 1 and 2 are closed.
In case of an alarm, Pin 1 and Pin 3 are closed.
The zero-voltage relay alarm contact is switched with a delay (see operating manual for communication
software APT-COM™ 2 (chap. 7.3, description of the “Check” window) or APT-COM™ 3 (chap. 10
“Watch Tool“).
In case of an alarm event the switching contact must be opened for at least 10 seconds,
otherwise the dialing event will be aborted.
