Technology
The battery that comes equipped with your E-MOTION is a PANASONIC Ion-Lithium type, and is the highest
technology available regarding energy density (energy stored per kilogram of weight).
The current range of E-MOTION is offered with two different PANASONIC batteries, both performing at a
power of 26 V:
8 Amp power capacity and 2.3 kg weight. It is capable of providing 208 Wh of energy at full charge.
10 Amp power capacity and 2.4 kg weight. It is capable of providing 260 Wh of energy at full charge.
An additional characteristic of PANASONIC Ion-Lithium batteries is that they do not present “memory effect”
and they are not affected by incomplete discharges. The E-MOTION battery may be fully discharged (100%)
approximately 500 times. In the event of partial discharges, only the discharged part is considered. For example,
if we charge the battery each time the charge level is reduced in 25%, we may charge the battery to its initial
capacity of 100% up to 2000 times. Once the complete charge cycles have been met, the battery loses 20% of its
capacity, and it may be recharged to 80% of its initial charge.
A table of equivalencies follows between complete battery cycles and kilometres in accordance with the
autonomy, which depends on the battery and the mode used:

Autonomy
The maximum distance which may be travelled with a fully charged battery depends on the assistance mode
selected and the development used. A long development (small clog) demands more energy from the battery.
Other factors which influence the duration of the battery are riding on sloped land or with against wind.
In normal conditions (flat land, calm wind) and in
Normal
assistance mode, a fully charged battery allows
travelling between 50 and 70 km (8Ah battery) and between 65-80 km (10Ah battery). In
Eco
mode, the
maximum distance that can be travelled is 85 km (8Ah battery) or 105 km (10 Ah battery). Take into
consideration that not fully pumped tyres offer greater resistance and therefore more energy is consumed.
Always make sure you have the correct tyre pressure.
