1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE OF THE MANUAL
This publication contains all of the necessary
information for operation and maintenance of
the circular blade food slicer machines, models
Red Line 220, red Line 250 and Red Line 300.
The purpose of this manual is to allow the user,
especially the direct user, to take all measures
and prepare all human and material means
necessary for a safe and long lasting use of the
machines.
1.2. CONSERVATION OF THE MANUAL
This manual must be delivered to the person in
charge of use and maintenance of the machines
who will take care of conserving it in a protect-
ed and dry area, always available for consul-
tation. We recommend keeping a copy on file.
In case of information exchanges with the man-
ufacturer or with service centre personnel au-
thorised by the manufacturer, refer to the plate
information and serial number of the machines.
The manual must be kept for the entire life of
the machine and if necessary (i.e. damage
which compromises consultation even partially,
etc.) the user is bound to purchase a new copy
which should be requested exclusively from the
manufacturer. If the machine is sold the user is
asked to notify the manufacturer or the new
owner’s address.
NOTE: The terms Front, Rear, Right and Left used
in this manual refer to the machine view from the
operator’s side in normal operating conditions.
1.3. INTENDED USE OF THE MACHINE
The intended use and prescribed configurations
of the machines are the only ones permitted
by the manufacturer. Do not attempt to use the
machine in any way other than that indicated.
The indicated intended use is valid only for ma-
chines in full structural, mechanical and system
efficiency.
The machines are destined only for cutting food
products of the types and within the dimensional
limits indicated in this manual.
The manufacturer declines any responsibility
stemming from inappropriate use or use by un-
trained personnel, modifications and/or repairs
carried out by the user or unauthorised per-
sonnel, use of replacement parts which are not
original or not specific for the machine model.
In case of doubts on the content of the manual
or for clarification immediately contact the man-
ufacturer or an authorised service centre, citing
the number of the paragraph in question.
2. GENERAL
2.1 LIMITS OF USE OF THE MACHINE,
SAFETY REGULATIONS
The machine was designed and built to slice
food products with continuous service of the
type and within the dimensional limits indicated
in paragraphs 3.1, 3.3 and 3.4.
2.1.1. Environmental conditions of
use of the machine
The machine may not be used in open areas
and/or areas which are exposed to atmospheric
agents and in environments with vapours, fumes
or corrosive and/or abrasive powders, with risk
of fire or explosion and in any case where the
use of antiexplosive components is required.

2.1.2. General Safety Regulations
The slicer must be used only by personnel who
are adequately trained for the purpose and
who have carefully read the content of this pub-
lication.
