8. TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING: In this chapter the most common problems which occur during use of the slicer are
indicated as well as the necessary operations to eliminate the possible causes. If the problem
persists do not insist in troubleshooting but immediately contact personnel qualified and
authorised by the manufacturer.

The machine does not start when the
on button is pressed
Lack of power
Check that the plug has
been correctly inserted
The machine starts when the on button
is pressed but the operation indicator
light does not turn on
Defective indicator light
Do not use the machine
with die indicator light off.
Contact the service centre
The machine starts but the motor heats
up significantly and emits a foul odour
Defective motor.
Do not use the machine
Contact the service centre
The machine vibrates
Defective transmission
Contact the service centre
Excessive resistance to cutting of
the product
The blade is dull
Sharpen the blade
The blade under stress slows down
or stops
Loose belt
Contact the service centre
Sharpening is not regular
any more
Springs are excessively dirty.
Worn springs
Clean the springs.
Replace the springs.
Contact the service centre
The sliced product is frayed and of
ineguiar form
Dull blade.
Excessively worn blade
Sharpen the blade
Replace the blade.
Contact die service centre
When the stop button is pressed the
machine does not stop
Defective control circuit
Immediately stop the machine,
removing the plug from the
mains outlet, and immediately
contact the service centre
Excessive resistance in motion of the
sliding components (product holder,
carriage)
Sliding guide lubrication
not pertormed periodically
Carry out periodical lubrication
as described in paragraphs 7.3
and 7.4
