Removing the rotary knob
The rotary knob must be removed prior to
installation.
ATTENTION
Damage to the electronics when laying
the device down on the rotary knob.

Never lay the device down on the
rotary knob.
¾
Lay the device down on its rear side.
¾
Remove the rotary knob.
¾
Lay the device, with the rear side facing down, on
a flat, clean and protective surface.
¾
Pull the rotary knob off.
Switching the sound signal on and off
Each of the rotary knob's (ThinCoder) operations
can be acknowledged by a sound signal.
This chapter describes how to switch the sound
signal on and off.
The sound signal is switched off in the factory
settings.

If you do not wish to change this setting, continue
reading the next chapter.
A DIP switch has to be set on the device. The DIP
switch is on the control electronics in the rotary
knob housing. The housing has to be opened, the
switch set and the housing closed.
The device must be opened at the bottom.
DANGER
Fatal electric shock due to freely
accessible electrical contacts when the
housing is open.

Make sure that the device is
disconnected from the voltage
supply.
To open the cover, the cover's two screws must be
unscrewed.
