5.4 Type catalogue
All type names and the test steps and limiting values defined during classification are saved
in the type catalogue. If there are a number of devices of the same type, the type catalogue
offers the following advantages:

Saves time: Classification only has to be carried out once.
●
Assures quality: Every test of the same type is carried out with exactly the same test steps.
5.4.1 How to access the “type catalogue”
In the main menu, select “F1: Type catalogue”. In the type catalogue, select the type of DUT.
There are several ways to select the type of DUT:
5.4.2 Type catalogue: Start test and edit type
The required type entry is already selected.
Arrow keys
Use the , keys to scroll page by page,
use the , keys to scroll to the required entry.
Keypad
Enter the letters at the beginning of the type name. If necessary, use
the , keys to scroll to the required entry.
Barcode
scanner If there is a barcode with the type name, the type can be selected
directly.
If a type entry is used very frequently, it is recommended to include it in user-
defined testing (See “Modify type catalogue” on page 28).
