4.1 PROFINET product features
DCP
The master modules use the DCP protocol to
automatically assign IP addresses.
LLDP
The LLDP protocol is used to detect devices in the
vicinity (neighborhood detection).
SNMP
The SNMP protocol handles network component
monitoring and communication between the master and
device.
Alarm and diagnostics messages
The modules support extended PROFINET alarm and
diagnostics messages.
I&M functions
Identification and maintenance data (I&M) means
information stored on the module. The identification
data consist of manufacturer details for the module
and can only be read. The maintenance data consist
of systemspecific details created during the course of
configuration. The modules can be uniquely identified
via the I&M data online.
The module-specific I&M functions I&M 0 - 4 for the
network interface(Slot 0) and IO Link master-specific
I&M functions I&M 0 and I&M 99 (IOLink Master
Directory) for the IO-Link ports (Slot 1) are supported.
GSDML-based configuration and parameterization of the IO ports
You have the option of configuring and parameterizing
the IO ports on the master modules via GSDML.
