17. TROUBLESHOOTING - DIALLING UNIT
Issue
Possible cause(s)
Solution
When switched on, the device
directly sends an autonomous
emergency call.
Key type swapped (normally
closed - normally open)
Disconnect the telephone line.
Adjust the type of emergency
call button via parameter *89*
of the button used.
Emergency call button jammed Check button, replace if
necessary.
The alarm starts sounding
immediately after start-up.
Relay 2 is set to NC
Set bridge between D1 and D3,
set to NO. Then remove the
bridge again and restart the
dialling unit.
Input 2 is set to NO by default
No sound transmission from
the cabin to the receiver.
The receiver does not use
the protocol used, or the set
protocol is not expected by the
receiver.
Use the machine room
telephone or (if not available)
connect an analogue test tele-
phone to the dialling unit to
make a call to the cabin (press
"1"). If the transmission works,
it is necessary to check if the
selected protocol (parameters
*21* to *24*) and the receiver
are suitable for each other.
Noise while establishing the
connection.
If the dialling unit is mounted
on the cabin roof, the fault
may be caused by induction in
the telephone line.
Emergency call button jammed
According to the regulations
of the telephone companies,
the telephone line must be
installed in a separate line.
Perform a noise test (see
"Noise test").
The alarm starts sounding
immediately after start-up.
