12.3.
When performing the maintenance, the water distiller should be disconnected
from the mains.
12.4. The routine maintenance during the operation period shall be carried out by staff that
uses the distiller, the periodical maintenance shall be performed by qualified personnel
(electrician and mechanic). Routine maintenance is an external visual inspection of the
uni
t
and removal of dust, dirt, corrosion with a dry clean cloth and inspecting visually
the filter located in the valve 25 (Figure 2) for clogging. In case of clogging, rinse it with
water.
12.5. After 160 hours of operation (depending on raw water quality) or decreased water
distiller performance, the evaporation chamber and electric heaters should be cleaned
of scale using a non-destructive method when checking the housing and heating
elements.
12.6.
Recommendations for cleaning up:
12.6.1. Close the valve for the raw water supply to the water still from the water sup-
ply system.
12.6.2. Drain water from the evaporator using the tap 27 (Figure 2) (do not close the
tap after the drain).
12.6.3. Remove the upper cover of the water still housing.
12.6.4. Remove the evaporator 2 cover (Figure 1).
12.6.5. Unscrew 4 attachment nuts of the steam flow splitter 3 (Figure 1).
12.6.6. Remove the steam flow splitter 3.
12.6.7.
Flush with water the walls and bottom of the evaporator to remove salt-con-
taining sediments. You can use the filling hose for supplying raw water from
the water supply system: for this, undo the nut of the filling hose from the
connection of the solenoid valve 25 (Figure 2), remove the gasket from the
nut, turn the tap for supplying raw water.
12.6.8. Close the tap 27 for the drain of waste water from the evaporator (Figure 2).
12.6.9. Fill the evaporator with pure water up to the level of Evaporator low water
level sensor (the bottommost sensor)
12.6.10. Add citric acid into the evaporator, at a rate of 50 g per liter. The volume of
water in the evaporator is 5 l for the BEAR B 1104, 15 l for the BEAR B 1110,
25 l for the BEAR B 1125. Instead of citric acid solution, you can use other
household means intended for descaling. In the application of other means,
follow the instructions for the use of these means.
12.6.11. Ensure that the sensors 9, 23, 24 (Figure 1) are fixed firmly and do not con-
tact the walls.
12.6.12. Ensure that the valve for the raw water supply from the water supply system
is CLOSED.
12.6.13. Place the evaporator cover back.
12.6.14. Switch the water still when pushing the POWER button.
12.6.15. Bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes.
12.6.16. Switch the water still OFF.
12.6.17. In 60 min open the valve 27 (Figure 2) and drain the solution.
