11. First use of the water distiller without built
in tank
11.1. Disinfect the internal surfaces of water distiller with 3 % solution of hydrogen peroxide
with addition of detergent or similar ready-to-use products for disinfection.
11.2. When you first turn on the water still,
fill the evaporator pos. 10 with water
. To do
this, remove the silicone tube from the equalizer and remove the condenser pos.6 by
pulling it up. Next, fill up the evaporator with water until the heating elements do not
disappear completely under water. Before filling the evaporator, you must ensure that
tap for water draining from the evaporator is CLOSED.
11.3. Fully open the ½” ball valve for supplying raw water to the water distiller, wait until water
is flowing out of the cooling water drain pipe pos. 12, to which the cooling water remov-
al hose is connected.
11.4.
WARNING!
Before each use, make sure that the heating elements are com-
pletely covered with raw water, otherwise the electric heaters will work in the
absence of sufficient water. This will cause an emergency shutdown of the
water still due to the electric heater temperature above 130-150 ˚C.
11.5. For recovery of the distiller after heater overheating, wait until the heaters are cooled
down, and then push the lock button located on the thermal switch housing. (Pos. 13,
Figure 5)
11.6. To start the water still push the POWER button located on the front panel and this but-
ton should be lit.
11.7. In 15 min for the BEAR B 1204 or in 30 min for the BEAR B 1210 the water distiller
should achieve the operating mode.
11.8. At initial start of the water distillers after a long break in the work, and after maintenance
work, it is necessary to perform an hour cycle followed by draining water from the evap-
orator and collector.
11.9. Distilled water can be discharged continuously into the prepared containers.
11.10.
Be careful! Distilled water temperature is 80-90 °C. Make sure that the con-
tainers for the collection of distillate withstand the temperature.
If distilled water
cooling is required, then you must purchase cooler to be built in the water distiller and
that is an option for delivery.
11.11. Upon completion of work, disconnect the water distiller from the mains, to do this,
press the POWER button to 0 position. Then the POWER LED should go out.
11.12. Close the valve for the raw water supply in the water distiller
12. Maintenance of the water distiller with built
in tank
12.1. The routine maintenance during the operation period and periodical maintenance
should be provided for the water distiller.
12.2.
When performing the maintenance, the personnel should follow the required
safety precautions of this Operating Manual.
