Pyramid 2 Keyboard Installation and Operating Instructions
DIRECT CONNECTION (FUNCTION 100)
An operator using an installers card can use the Pyramid 2 Keyboard to connect directly to receivers and bridges without
a matrix command being required. This is a function known as Self-Binding or Function 100 , and it is used for engineering
purposes. It might be used before matrix installation, with just the keyboard and receiver connected together, or it could be
used when the system has been installed, but the matrix needs to be bypassed.
This method of control should not be used except as an engineering tool.
To connect directly to a receiver or bridge, follow the steps below:
1. Log onto the Pyramid 2 Keyboard using the installer password. The
Installer Logon screen is displayed.
2. Press the Function 100 soft-key. The Direct Access screen is displayed.
3. Using the number keys, enter the number of the camera on the bridge or receiver that is to be accessed.
4. Press either the
Receiver soft-key or Bridge soft-key depending on what the device to be accessed is.

Once the Pyramid 2 Keyboard has been used to connect directly to the receiver or bridge, the installer has access to the
following functions:
• Patrol, Random Tour, Sequence, Preset and Auxiliary recall (pages 15-23).
• Preset programming (page 40).
• Privacy Zone programming (page 42).
• Limit Stop programming (page 52).
• Receiver configuration (page 53).
• Signal gain and lift settings (page 54).
• Receiver, bridge and keyboard addressing (pages 57-60).
