Pyramid 2 Keyboard

Installation and Operating Instructions

PROGRAMMING A PRIVACY ZONE

A Privacy Zone is an 2 dimensional zone within which a PTZ camera is not allowed to stop. The only way to view a Privacy

Zone is to move to the edge of it, and then zoom out. The area can then be viewed from a distance with little detail.
Pyramid AC and DC receivers are able to store privacy zones, and alternative methods for Privacy Zone storage are

usually available on dome interfaces too. For this reason, the Pyramid 2 Keyboard can be used to program Privacy Zones

to any receivers connected to the Pyramid system.
To program a privacy zone, follow the steps below:
1. Select the PTZ camera to which the Privacy Zone is to be programmed - see 

Selecting a Camera

 on page 14.

2. Press the 

Utility Menu 

screen key.

3. Press the 

Receiver Utilities 

soft-key.

4. Press the 

Privacy Zones 

soft-key. The 

Privacy Zone Programming

 screen is displayed (See Figure 57).

5. Using the joystick, position the camera so that the intended Privacy Zone area is central on the monitor.
6. Use  the  zoom  controls  until  the  maximum  magnification  that  is  to  be  allowed  when  the  Privacy  Zone  is  in  shot  is

achieved.

7. Use the joystick so that the bottom-left corner of the Privacy Zone is at the top-right of the monitor.
8. Press the 

BL Limit 

soft-key.

9. Use the joystick so that the top-right corner of the Privacy Zone is at the bottom-left of the monitor.
10. Press the 

TR Limit 

soft-key.

11. To cancel the privacy zone at any point, press the 

Rel 

soft-key.

12. Press the 

Utility Menu 

screen key to leave the 

Privacy Zones Programming 

screen.

13. It is now necessary to save the Privacy Zone to the receiver. To do this, press the 

Receiver Utilities 

soft-key and then

press the 

Prog Preset

 soft-key. To complete the save procedure, press the 

Store Presets 

soft-key.
