Pyramid 2 Keyboard Installation and Operating Instructions
NAVIGATING IN THE MATRIX MENU SYSTEM
The Pyramid 2 Keyboard joystick is used to navigate within the matrix menu system. Move the joystick up and down to
move the cursor through the available menu options, and push the joystick right to select a menu item. To move back to the
previous menu, move the joystick to the left.

TEXT EDITING IN THE MATRIX MENU SYSTEM
In a number of matrix menus, it is necessary to enter a title or name into a field, such as a user name or a camera ID. When
such a field is selected for editing, the LCD display on the Pyramid 2 Keyboard changes accordingly to display the Text
Editor screen. The numeric keypad can then be used alongside this screen to enter text, in a similar way the numeric
keypad would be used on a mobile phone to send a text message.

The uses of the numeric keypad and the soft-keys that are displayed on the Text Editor screen are as follows:

Key Description
If a mistake is made, press this orange Delete key to remove the currently active character
and return to the previous one.
Press this soft-key to toggle between upper case characters, lower case characters and
numeric characters.
Press this soft-key to move to the next character.
When the required text has been entered, press this soft-key to confirm the text is correct
and to end text editing

Press this soft-key to cancel text editing.
Press the appropriate number key to select the required letter. For example, to select the
letter R, press the number 6 key three times. Also use the number keys to select numbers.
